Instructions
Cast On
CO 96 stitches using your preferred cast on method. Make sure your stitches are not twisted.
Ribbing
Row 1-4: *k2, p2* repeat from * to * until the end of the round.
Main Body
Row 5: Change to your first color yarn. Knit in stockinette stitch (knit every round) for 5 inches, changing colors every inch. Choose colors in a sequence you enjoy.
Color Changes
To change colors, cut the previous color yarn leaving a few inches for weaving in later. Join the new color yarn with a slip knot and continue knitting.
Finishing
Once you reach your desired length, you will transition into ribbing again:
Row 1-4: *k2, p2* repeat from * to * until the end of the round.
Bind Off
BO all stitches loosely in knit, ensuring it doesn't tighten the edge. Leave a long tail for weaving in.
Weaving in Ends
Using your tapestry needle, weave in all loose ends from color changes.
Blocking (Optional)
For the best finish, gently wash and block your cowl. Lay it flat on a towel to dry.
Final Measurements
The finished cowl should measure approximately 12 inches high and 24 inches around when flat.
